NFL Roundup: Jaguar Win Ravens

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., for one night, one big scene, Jacksonville did everything better than the Baltimore Ravens.


Maurice Jones-drew's 105 yards against the NFL's best run defense, Josh Scobee kicked four field goals and Jaguars snapped a five-game slide with a 12-7 victory over the Ravens on Monday night.

Stepping into the national spotlight for a few hours, the Jaguars used their best defensive efforts within five years of slow Ray rice, Joe Flacco and co.

Jacksonville (2-5) didn't allow a first down until 5: 26 Mark of the third quarter, a mixture of solid defense and inept offense.

Flacco, finally got the Ravens (4-2) on the scoreboard with just over two minutes. He capped 90-yard drive with a 5-yard touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin.

"He is fine, Shurmur said Monday."I haven't seen him run today, but he walked straight. "

Raiders: Darren McFadden, the NFL's leading rusher, entering the weekend, sprained his right foot in a loss to Kansas City. McFadden on crutches and walking boot Wednesday.

Broncos: leading rusher Willis McGahee expected surgery later this week for broken finger on his right hand and will not play against Detroit on Sunday. With McGahee's on the side of the Broncos will rely on Knowshon Moreno and Lance ball.

McGahee did not return after hurting his finger in the third quarter of 18-15 overtime victory over the dolphins. He finished with 76 yards on 18 attempts. The ninth-year pro is the fifth in the AFC in rushing with 460 metres.

Rams: coach Steve Spagnuolo said Bradford QB Sam remains in walking boot and not sure there is a quarterback for Sunday against the Saints. Bradford has a high left ankle sprain and sat in Sunday's loss to Dallas.

Eagles: defensive end Brandon Graham (knee) practiced for the first time this season and may return against Dallas on Sunday, while de Trent Cole (IFR) and LT Jason Peters (hamstring) returned to practice after missing two games.


Giants: New York, seems to be getting back to full strength after the bye week, de Justin Tuck, RB Brandon Jacobs, G Chris Snee and FB Henry Hynoski all practising after missing New York a victory over Buffalo 16 Oct.
